Tournament Poker and the Art of War

Autor: | 18/11/2011

David Apostolico, autorul cartii “Tournament Poker and the Art of War”, crede ca cele 10 principii ale lui Sun Tzu va pot transforma in bine jocul din turnee.

Sun Tzu said:
When we are near, we must make the enemy believe we are far away; when far away, we must make the enemy believe we are near.
If you try to steal a pot, make it look like you are willing to go all-in if need be. If you have the nuts, make it look you will not be willing to commit a substantial ammount of chips.

Sun Tzu said:
If equally matched, we can offer battle; if slightly inferior in numbers, we can avoid the enemy; if quite unequal in every way, we can flee from him.
If you have equal chips, play if you have an edge. If you are up against a larger stack, then fold your hand unless you have a measurable advantage. If you are up against a superior jucator-poker, then fold unless you have the nuts.

Sun Tzu said:
The clever combatant looks to the effect of combined energy and does not require too much from individuals. Hence, his ability to pick out the right men and utilize combined energy.
In No Limit Hold’em Tournaments, use your chips to their maximum force. It is far better to make one $500 raise than to limp in five times for $100 each.
